Stress induced vaso-vegal

I believe vaso vagal episodes are caused by stress. I'm 63 years old and always dread medical procedures. I have experienced vaso vagal attacks while having mammograms and during a colonoscopy. I didn't know for a long time what was happening to me. It's scarey especially during the colonoscopy.I was told that my heart rate dropped to 30, causing them to discontine the IV medication and resulting in severe pain. I'll probably never have another one colonoscopy.
