My Husband was just recovering in the hospital from coronary artery bypass....was sitting in the chair....suddenly passed out ....asystole of 20 seconds or so.Cardiologist came immediately and diagnosed vasal vagal .I did nor realize that the heart can stop as a result of vasal vagal.Just before he passed out, he gave a small cough, like his throat was bothering him or there was discomfort in the area of his neck. Anyhow they put in a pace maker,in case this happens when he is driving or something....back up I guess...Sue RN
