Your episode was a little like my last one which occured right after Christmas, and also alike because it had been many years since I last had one. I had a late dinner with one glass of wine, a very full day of sightseeing, got up in the middle of the night and passed out a couple of times. My husband thought since I was newly diagnosed as diabetic that I needed a little sugar in my system and gave me a piece of chocolate left by the hotel maid.I t was either that or when the paramedics tried to move me off that nice cold floor that a threw up (never did that before in any episodes). My blood pressure drops when I get up suddenly. Otherwise it tended to be a little high, but never to the extent of needing medication. I have been pretty faithful for the last 3 months or so in terms of eating right and exercising, and dropped over 20 pounds. At my check up last week, everything was great - my blood pressure, glucose level, weight (thought I still plan on losing 15 more lbs.), even my cholesterol was normal. I still keep water by my bedside and know I will prop my feet up above head level should I feel any onset of lightheadness. I refuse also to be 'rushed' now as rushing makes me anxious and anxiety is no good for this problem.
