Just been told I may have been having a vaso vagal episode

Hi, Can anyone help me please. Can I describe what is happening to me.I start to feel strange in my mind and I am recalling something that happened to me in a recent dream. It gets bigger and more realistic in my mind. I slow down my breathing, I feel faint, my knees start buckling under me and i get very hot. Then after about a min. I start to feel better but break out into a cold sweat with beads of sweat on my brow.Had 6 of these episodes yesterday. My doctor today said it may be a vaso vagal episode. Does anyone have any comment if it has happened the same way. Cheers! Ian in Scotland
