I just read up on cataplexy and it is not at all what I experience. it was noted that in somecase the cataplectic person is alert mentally but cannot move and seems to "come out of it" when the incident is over. In my case, I am wide awake and seemingly cant "inhale" after a hard laugh and feel myself start to "grey out" and then the blood pressure drops and I am sweaty and weak for several hours after the experience.
