my 17 year old son has suffered three times from whar sound like vasovagal episodes. the last 2, 11 months apart were after excessive alcohol consumption although recently it occurred 10 hours after his last drink. They happened when he started to vomit, he passed out and then had a type of seizure before he came round. He was taken to A&E and suffered one episode in the ambulance. The paramedic noticed his heart stopped for a few seconds while he had the episode. His blood sugar was normal but his heart rate was slow and irregular. 4 years ago he had a similar episode immediately after sharp pain in his leg after hitting it on a metal radiator. His physician has now told him he can't drive as he may have epilepsy. As he is devastated by this decision I woud like to get an expert opinion. Should this be from a neurologist or a cardiologist>
