What you describe is exactly what I do when it happens to me. People usually thought I was having a seizure since I got stiff and shook all over. As a kid I was diagnosed by a neurologist and was found to not have symptoms of seizure. The cardiologist mentioned that the seizure like state is induced by the loss of blood pressure most likely and the fact that my heart stops beating. Since i had a pacemaker implanted, any episodes I have go no further than just lightheadedness and tunnel vision. Its very strange not to pass out now from a pain event but rahter just get dizzy and sweaty and let it pass. Sounds like Im not the only one that reacts like this to pain.
