8 year old daughter might have Vaso Vagal

My 8 year old daughter had a fainting spell today-the first ever. She was getting ready for school and I was doing her hair and she just went out really quick. She was out for around 1 minute. Went to the doctor and he did some simple balance test and said he thought she had a vaso-vagal episode. But if she fainted again he would want to do a ekg, eeg, and fasting blood sugar. What is anyones opion who has this. Before today I had never heard of this. Any info would help. Should I insist on test now or what and see if she has another fainting spell?
