I too can claim that VV can cause accidents. I was incredibly lucky when an attack came on after a 15 year gap. I managed to pull the car over. You mention your heart may stop during a faint.Yes it can, I had a pacemaker implanted 13months ago at the age of 29. During my fainting I was flatlining usually around 20 - 30 secnds. (A tilt table test proved that in around 2 mintues)
Believe me a pacemaker isn't as bad as it seems.
My vv / fainting is triggered by anything medical. Some how I've got through this.
