I believe my vasovagal started when I was 7-8. I am now 50. Back then we didn't know what it was. I didn't find out until about 5 years ago. I had episodes up through my high school years - but they were more frequent in grade school. Since then I have had several episodes - and was finally diagnosed after tilt table. I think life's different changes can make one more prone to have an attack. Also I have found that when I'm starting to sick I'm more prone to it happening. I recently passed out twice - but it was only when I would get up in the night to go to the bathroom. My blood pressure was low from sleeping and I did not take my time getting up. Gatorade helps alot. Also adding salt to the diet. I try to stay real hydrated. I was on a beta blocker but I recently went off. Antidepressants do help but I'm not sure why. It is definitely a condition and not in anyone's mind.
