Re: VV or Something Else?

the same kinds of pain has sent me to the hospital several times, led to the test and caths and then the VV after surgery. My doctor at a loss casually noted that it was a vaso vegal response, put me on Prilosec and sent me home. His thinking was that since everything else was within normal ranges yet the nitro glycerin helped the pain, then it must be me having an acid reflux problem. The acid irritates and over stimulates the vega nerve and in compensation the vaso vegal reaction occurs . My body's way of checks and balances. It gets the signal of stimulation, stimulation and dumps the parasympathetic response in "bring my body down" to balance out . I am sure you have heard of the flight or fight response? My acid reflux(though mild to me) was enough to stimulate my vega nerve and throw me into that situation. Hope this helps.
