Having a "vagal"

I had angioplasty in 2001. After the procedure, the nurse told me she needed to put pressure on the groin area, which she explained is near the vagal nerve. I woke up later!! She must have stopped my heart.

Now the interesting thing. I have passed out several times in my 55 years prior to getting injections. Today as I was getting an IV shunt (sp?) put in for a nuclear stress test, I came close to passing out again. I just thought it was nervousness... the RN told me I was having a vagal! I get nauseous, sweat profusely, erratic breathing... and sometimes pass out! I wish I could control it, but can't. Been laughed at for years. I just warn the medical people ahead of time.

Interesting bumping into this site after doing a Google search! I see it's just not me.
