Vaso-Vagal Response

I have been diagnosed as having this syndrome (if that's what it is). It first happened to me when I was in my late 20's and I am now 62. I have passed out about 6 or 7 times - the last time was just over a week ago. What happened was that I got up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom, got dizzy, called out to my husband and passed out. It's happened that way a couple of times before. Once it happened because of severe abdominal pain, but that was only the case once. I've been told getting up suddenly can cause it, pain can cause it, and even urination. I have recently been diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes and thought my last episode might have been associate with the glusogphage (speeling wrong I know) that I started taking, although just before my sugar level was 113 a few hours before - which was fine (though low for me; I am still working on getting it down there consistently).
