I can't believe sthe number of people who have experienced what we are! My daughter is 12..she started psssing out while playing basketball last year...she was diagnosed with a long qt interval and a Reveal was implanted. She has continued to pass out with "seizures" although she is taking florinef and proamatine for POTS. She must also take atenolo for long qt....she had an episode while being monitored in the hospital.....her eeg did not show any epileptic activity. She was hospitalized again after a very severe reaction an a tilt table test. Today she had another incident at school...she often gets a very sharp pain in her left side, feels a tightness in her chest and then totally blacks out. She has oxygen both at school and at home which ususlly helps to revive her, but it took much longer today. No one can figure out why she is "out of it" for so long and has sizure like activity. Her heart monitor haas not shown an arrythmia to date, so hopefully it's not the long qt which is causing it. We are flying to Virginia to see her specialist next week and I am a TOTAL wreck because I heard that flying can bring on an episode. Can someone PLEASE give me some advice? Thanks!
