I highly recommend this. I bought mine at Costco - I think only about $60. It's a "Omron" brand which is suppose to be one of the better brands. I bought the wrist kind, which although not as accurate as the inflatable arm types, it's a lot easier to use and you don't have to be that accuarate for this. (It helps to be sure to keep your arm "heart-high" as the instructions will show). As John said, you just push a button and it does all the rest and since it has memory you can get a series of readings when you're having an event and not worry about remembering the readings. I haven't fainted since getting mine, but I did have a morning where I felt a little pre-syncope (mostly nausea and lightheadedness) - I took my BP and it was 77/50 - very low. My cardiologist said getting a BP reading during an event is very helpfull information. Maggie
