Is this the same thing as VDS? My 15 yearold granddaughter was told that she has VDS (vasodepressor syncope) after she tested on a tilt table. She has been having these dizzy, sweating and passing out spells for about a year, off and on. She was told first that she was very low on iron and took perscription iron tablets. It eased up for some time and then bang it is happening again. When tested in the hospital they had to shock her back to consicous. She has an appointment with a doctor in Anarbor Michigan next Tuesday, Nov.25,03. The docotrs here said they might beable to control it with a pill or she might have to have a pasemacker. They also said that she might outgrow this. Can anyone inlighten me with any information about this scarey situation? Does this cause your heart to stop? Just plain worried about her. Please help me!
