Vagovagal syncope
From: Mother
Comments
I have had 3 episodes (that I recall) in my life time (of 41 years), the first being after I fell and injured my leg, the second being during a blood test and third while being prepped for a C-section. More recently my 13 year old son also had an episode after injuring his hand. I'm not sure if it's genetic, but have discussed the "symptoms" with my kids and how to cope with it if they should feel it coming on. It's scary, but thankfully not fatal - at least not that I know of.
