Today I had my vaso reaction, says the nurses. I was at an Eckerds getting a flu shot, when three minutes later, my right arm was becoming clammy, I was hit with a huge migrane, everything turned black, and next thing I know, I'm staring at the ceiling dazed and confused. I'm only 15, and this is the first time I have heard of a vaso reaction. After reading other discussions, I'm not sure why my reaction came about. The nurses weren't sure themselves. It is also my first time to get a flu shot, so it is possible the reaction was because of the new fluids running through my blood vessels. The other reason could be because I was very nervous about getting the shot because my brother said they hurt like booster shots. Honestly, my little brother is quite a liar, and the shot (to me) did not hurt at all. So, as soon as I finished getting it, I felt releaved. So, how could my reaction be brought on by nervous stress? Or, maybe it is both the old stress and a chemical reaction within the nervous system that caused me to pass out. But, I'm just a naive teen that not sure what to think, so if anyone has the missing puzzle piece...
