Vasovagus Response

Comments

In 2002 I had triple bypass surgery, and a subsequent colonoscopy. Since those operations (never before), I have suffered from episodic "weak heart spells." I was told that perhaps my vagas nerve was "clipped" during surgery. My symptoms usually occur upon waking in the a.m., bowel-related, some coffee (I think) response, acid reflux response, etc. I'm currently on Prevacid for hiatal hernia & related ulcers. Not at all sure what's up, or what to do. Cardiologist seems to want to run from the subject - "no idea what it could be..." Any thoughts??? And just what is "vasovagal" syndrome/response/etc.???
