swallowing-induced syncope
From: mary
Comments
My 6-year-old daughter sometimes faints while she is eating. Her cardiologist suggested installing a pacemaker b/c she has recorded a 3 second complete a-v block with no symptoms(presumably when she actually faints the block is longer). I've read conflicting advice regarding pacemakers and syncope. Also, she has had only 4 in the last year -- the last one was several months ago.
We were wondering if anyone has had this condition or can refer me to more literature on the subject.
Thanks!
Mary
