Hi, If Aleve seems to work for you, that's good. For me and a few others, it's the side effects that seem to worsten the situation. If your blood is thin and Aleve thins it further or increases your heart rate, you increase your risk of an episode, but it doesn't mean you are making your condition worse. If I have a headache, I'm still going to take something... just remember to be extra careful when you take anything. As my doctor cautioned, don't stand for long periods of time, don't stand over an open dishwasher (knives), don't drink...etc.
