My symptoms are very similar! Doctors thought it was seizures until just recently, not they are saying fainting. I've never had an event while I'm actually still asleep, but have often woken up sick to my stomach, hot flashes, shakiness, go to the bathroom thinking I need to throw up, and bamm - I'm on the floor. Then afterwards I'm sick for awhile after - often throwing up. My new doctor just put me on Norpace (suppose to keep the heart form beating too hard, which stimulates the vagal nerve and sets all this in motion) I havent taken it yet though - the side effects sound bad and I'm not convinced its not being caused by something else. Maybe hypoglycemia or other metabolic problem or some sort of adrenal problem. I have other "illnesses" that docs think are unrelated, but I'm not so sure. I have TMJ problems, insomnia, gastrointestinal problems, chronic fatigue. I can 't help but think they're all (or some) related.
