Re: Vasovagal reaction and dreamlike state

Hi there. Yes, I experience this "dreamlike state." When I have a vgal episode, I feel as if I am moving backwardsas red and black dots grow and close off my vision. I feel very light, and then begin dreaming, generally bright colors and various objects and things against a dark background. Strange that they are very interesting dreams but I can never remember the plot. Then I am suddenly and invariably shaken back to consciousness by people around me. I always feel that I am moving backward before I pass out, but ALWAYS fall forward. Maybe this is my last attempt to remain standing, and my body overcompensates before "lights out." I'm undergoing all the usual tests, etc. and they have said that I have vaso vagal syncope, and a recent finding from a lateral echocardiogram says I have a slight mitral valve prolapse. The doctor says this is no big deal, and that it's not related to vaso vagal syncope. After doing some research, I've found medical research which does link them.
