My husband was diagnosed at 2 yr. old with fainting spells. As he got older the doctor who was treating him at the time said it was SEIZURE related. He was then put on Phenobaritol for 15yrs. When I meet him, he was embarassed to tell me, I had to find out the harf way. He woke one night to use the bathroom and fainted. His episode is very frightening. Heres how his episodes go, he usually knows when it is going to happen. He goes to the floor then his whole body becomes very rigid he has a very deep stridor/snore, as he gasps for a breath. his episodes usually last anywhere from 10-30 seconds. He has'nt been on any meds since he was 16. No doctor has ever given any reason or solutions. Please tell me how to help him. I was told that they are supposed to go away when he was 30 and come back when hes 80. I have been married to him for 15 years and zi am very concerned since this has not stopped or slowed down. They are not as frquent. zHe had one today for what he says ,he doesn't know why or remeber.
