New VV patient

My husband was diagnosed with VV yesterday. He was given an EKG which showed nothing. It was the table tip test that gave us answers to all of our questions. We have been married for seven years and there has been at least one episode a year. It sounds like the flu mixed with motion sickness. Doctor's kept saying it was all caused by dehydration. So, everytime he got sick, he would sip water every 15 minutes until he started to feel better - often, I had to hold his head at first. Otherwise, sleep for most of a 24 hour period of time seemed to be the cure... until this time. He could not keep down the water and complained that his stomach was burning. After three days of tests, the doctors found VV and an inflamed stomach (pre-ulcerous condition). Thank goodness we know what it is, now if the medication will do the job. Thank you for sharing!
