Re: Vaso Vagal / Seizures during air travel

Have had the same types of situations with air travel...In fact, came to once with a pressure sleeve on...as the passenger next to me was a physician. I have been diagnosed with VV syndrome, as a result of repeated episodes while giving blood (pint)...as well as just getting blood work done. But I will say this...I have found that my episodes, in both cases, occur when I am dehydrated. Also, since lying down, with my feet raised, prior to giving blood, and not getting up until I am ready...I have had zero episodes! So, I recommend that you make sure you are properly hydrated prior to taking your next trip... before you sacrifice the convenience of air travel. And yes, once I come to...I am a mess...nauseated, vomiting and as weak as can be. I absolutely feel like I have to die...to get better! Good luck to you...there's still hope! :)
